CINCINNATI – Cincinnati business owner Steve Scherzinger was recently elected president of the National Pest Management Association. Scherzinger, a third generation pest control company owner, began his term June 1, and will serve through the end of May 2006.

Scherzinger owns Scherzinger Pest Control, a business his grandfather started in 1934. From its Cincinnati headquarters, the company’s 80 employees service the greater Cincinnati area, southeastern Indiana and northern Kentucky from pests. The company offers inspections and treatments for termites, ants, cockroaches, stinging insects and any other pest problem. (The Scherzinger family also used to own PCT magazine. GIE Media’s history dates back to 1980 when Richard Foster purchased PCT magazine from the Scherzinger family.)

Scherzinger has 30 years of experience in the professional pest control industry. He would like to see continued growth of the professional pest control industry during his leadership of the 5,000-member NPMA.

“I hope to strengthen the confidence consumers have in the industry,” Scherzinger said. “I’d also like to strengthen the confidence members have in the association.”
