DAVIE, Fla. - Police have arrested Dayont'e Omar Resiles in connection with the death of Jill Haliburton Su, wife of renowned UF Entomologist Nan-Yao Su, Local 10 News reports.
Resiles, 20, of Lauderdale Lakes, was taken into custody Thursday morning in Sunrise. He faces a charge of first-degree murder.
Jill Su, 59, was found dead Sept. 8 in the bathtub of her home at the gated West Ridge community (related story).
According to Local 10 News, Davie police Capt. Dale Engle said at a news conference Thursday afternoon that Su was killed during an apparent burglary and that the act appeared to be random. Engle said DNA evidence led detectives to Resiles, and that three others were questioned.
