FAIRFAX, Va. — Last week, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) sponsored a National Bed Bug Summit, April 14-15, 2009, with support from the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) and the Association of Structural Pest Control Regulatory Officials, as all three groups recognized the importance of bringing together those who could engage in constructive dialogue about what needs to be done by various stakeholders to get control of the nation's growing bed bug crisis.

Recommendations from the Summit will be presented to EPA's Pesticide Program Dialogue Committee meeting on April 22, 2009. NPMA's Bob Rosenberg represents the pest management industry on the committee.
