GREENSBORO, N.C. – Syngenta Professional Products introduces a new logo for Demand CS with iCAP Technology. Demand CS, well known among pest management professionals (PMPs) for its effectiveness against a broad range of insect pests, will now be recognized by its brand new logo.
Demand CS combines an advanced generation pyrethroid with a unique capsule suspension formulation for outstanding protection against numerous perimeter insect pests. Demand’s iCAP Technology packs at least 10,000 powerful microcapsules of control into every square inch of treated surface. Each capsule includes the active ingredient, lambda-cyhalothrin, which is shielded from UV rays, pH extremes and surface absorption.
“Demand CS is a tried and true insecticide for PMPs and the new logo is a great way to showcase the product in 2005,” said Geoff Foster, marketing manager, Syngenta.
Demand CS features an advanced microcap technology made of two layers, which work together for structural support and diffusion resistance. The active ingredient is held within the “intelligent” microcapsules until they selectively attach to insects. The microcapsules adhere to the waxy cuticle surface of an insect because of the product’s lipophilic, or fat-loving attraction. The adhesion to the insect allows for easy pickup and transfer of the capsules.
Proven effective on over 30 insect pests, Demand CS provides quick knockdown. It has broad labeling, which includes structural, turf, and landscape pests for both indoor and outdoor use. Demand CS reduces applicator exposure with extremely low use rates and a water-based solution with little to no odor or staining.
Demand CS offers long residual activity as well. In a test with fire ants on treated porous wood, exposed to sun and rain, for six weeks, Demand provided 100 percent knockdown in about one hour.
