Target Sets Date, Agenda for Annual Business Conference

SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. — Target Specialty Products will feature best-selling author Bob Nelson, a noted speaker on employee motivation, as one of the keynote speakers for its 8th Annual Business Management Conference. The event is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 9, at the Westin Hotel South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, Calif.

Nelson is the founder of Nelson Motivation, Inc., a management and training firm based in San Diego, Calif. He is an internationally recognized expert in the areas of employee recognition, rewards, motivation, morale, retention, productivity and management.

“Employee retention is a big issue for many of our customers. Nelson’s presentation can help managers implement or improve existing employee recognition programs,” said Target’s Regional Manager Rich Records. Nelson’s 1,001 Rewards and Recognition Fieldbook is included with registration.

Attendees will also hear from Business Development Manager Mark Voors of ABG, a financial consulting company. Voors presentation will cover financial statements, how to read them and why they are important.

In addition, Attorney Jason Weiss returns to the program to address labor law. Weiss has become a favorite on the program due to his ability to make sense of complex labor law and his relaxed, informative presentation style. Weiss specializes in litigation and transactional matters in the labor and employment law arena.

Six hours of general credit has been applied for and is expected to be approved for the conference.
