Technician Informs Homeowner of Misplaced Money

Hailie Westfield, a service technician at Mayfield Brothers Pest Control, recently was recognized in the Chattanooga Times Free Press’s “Good Deed” section.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Hailie Westfield, a service technician at Mayfield Brothers Pest Control, recently was recognized in the Chattanooga Times Free Press’s “Good Deed” section.

One of Westfield’s customers wrote the paper in appreciation of his good deed. While treating a home recently, Westfield spotted about $50 on that home’s deck. Instead of pocketing the money, Westfield reported it to the grateful homeowner.

The homeowner recounted this story in the Nov. 13 “Good Deed,” an article that appeared in the Chattanooga Times Free Press’s “Letters to the Editors.”
