The two-and-a-half-day class covers the basic skill sets necessary to comprehensively apply termiticides, wood treatment and baiting system materials to properly protect structures. Included in the intensive class are explanations of the requirements of the regulatory services, safety procedures and equipment, foundation recognition and critical situations, wood destroying insect identification and calculation of materials needed for termiticide applications. The class culminates with a session that features hands on applications at the Tennessee Department of Agriculture state of the art field training site. The University of Tennessee co-ops the instruction with classes conducted by Dr. Karen Vail and Dr. Eugene Burgess.
Upon completion of the class students earn 17 CEU's as well as a class study guide that will provide reference material that has proven invaluable for those who have attended in the past. The registration fee is $125 per person and should be received by Sept. 4. Class size is limited.
