MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Most people believe if they do not see termites in their home then they must not have them. But a new program sponsored by Terminix and Termidor explains that what you don’t see could cost you thousands in the future.
"Hidden Invaders," which will air on HGTV, the DIY Network and the Fine Living Network, is a thirty-minute program that documents a North Carolina couple’s fight to protect their primary home and investment property from the threat of termites. Viewers will follow the couple as they experience the lows of discovering termite damage in their home as well as the highs of learning they can protect their home from future damage.
“Termites live in every state except Alaska and are a serious threat to homes across the country,” said John Chapman, entomologist and manager of technical services for Terminix. “It doesn’t matter what kind of home it is – new, old, small or large – all are susceptible to termites. Because this pest is a master at avoiding detection, it’s important for homeowners to schedule an annual home inspection to monitor for termite activity.”
"Hidden Invaders" will begin airing May 5 and will run more than three dozen times throughout May. In addition to appearing on HGTV, the DIY Network and the Fine Living Network, the program will air multiple times on PAX and Scripps-owned stations across the country.
