MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Terminix published its second annual Entomologists’ Almanac, a look back at the pest trends of the last year. For a second year running, bed bugs were named “Pest of the Year,” having racked up more than 6.7 million online searches nationwide.
The Entomologists’ Almanac utilizes online data to look back at the pests that defined 2018. For instance, the states that had the most pest-related online searches make up 2018’s Pest-iest States.
The list of the Pest-iest States was determined by analyzing overall search volume for pests per capita by state. The full list of the 18 Pest-iest’s States of 2018 is:
