MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Terminix announced today it has acquired substantially all of the assets of Vancouver-based Care Pest & Wildlife Control.
Founded in 2000, Care Pest & Wildlife is the largest independent pest and wildlife control company in British Columbia, specializing in general pest, bedbug, bird and wildlife control for both residential and commercial accounts. Led by Peter Steinfort and Anthony Hung, the company will continue to operate under its current brand name following completion of the acquisition. Under the direction of Terminix, Steinfort and Hung will serve in leadership roles within the company.
“The acquisition of Care, combined with our purchase last month of Toronto-based Magical Pest Control, is a continuation of our efforts to expand our geographic presence outside of the U.S.,” said Larry Pruitt, president of Terminix, a subsidiary of ServiceMaster, one of the world’s largest residential service networks. “Care has a solid reputation of exceptional customer service and retention, highly trained professionals and strong growth potential, all of which make it a great fit for us.”
“Becoming part of the Terminix family will allow us to leverage the power of a large brand while retaining the local, high-touch customer service that we’re known for,” said Steinfort. “This acquisition provides a greater level of resources to not only our customers, but to our valued team members as well.”
