MEMPHIS, Tenn.– Terminix announced it acquired six pest management companies in the fourth quarter of 2008, bringing its total number of acquisitions for the year to 34.
During the fourth quarter, Terminix welcomed Frontline Exterminating and WORX Pest Control in Ariz., Pestaway Corporation in Nev., Calif.-based Ensure Pest Control, Foxx Pest Control in Mo., and Pointe Pest Control locations in Ala., Calif., Ga., Colo., Texas, Mass., Ky. and Md.
“In the last 12 months, we’ve focused our efforts on expanding our footprint in key markets,” said Steve Good, senior vice president of business development. “In spite of the strong economic headwinds, we have been very fortunate to realize our plans of continuing to add some of the best pest management professionals in the industry to the Terminix family. We are looking forward to building upon this momentum in 2009.”
Terminix acquisitions during 2008 were highlighted by the addition of select Moxie and Pointe Pest Control operations. The strategic acquisitions allowed the nation’s largest pest control company to significantly expand its presence on the West Coast and introduce its menu of services to a new customer base.
