Terminix Announces Twelve Third Quarter Acquisitions

Terminix acquired 12 pest management companies in the third quarter, making it the most active acquisition period for Terminix in 2006.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Terminix acquired one dozen pest management companies in the third quarter, making it the most active acquisition period for Terminix in 2006.

Third quarter acquisitions include Orr Pest Protection Services in Bedford Hills, N.Y., All Star Termite and Pest Management based in Woodbridge, Va., Griswold Pest Control in Naples, Fla., Tampa-based Advanced Lawn and Pest, All-Ways Termite and Pest Control and Lay-D-Bug Exterminating, both in the Orlando area, Bugs-Or-Us in Murdock, Fla., Key West-based JMO ENT. Inc., Jones Termite and Pest Control in Pensacola, Fla., Bug Buster SA CV in Mexico City, PesTX Pest Control in Cypress, Texas and national provider Safeguard Pest Control.

The largest acquisition, Safeguard Pest Control, is headquartered in Henderson, Nev. and has operations in 12 states. Safeguard was founded in 2001 and has expanded to more than 16 markets, yielding more than $23 million in annual revenues.

The twelve companies acquired in the third quarter have operations that span 13 states and two countries. Terminix has acquired nearly 30 companies in 2006.
