Terminix Adds Captain Stan Cope as Manager of Technical Services

MEMPHIS, Tenn.  – Captain, U.S. Navy (Retired) Stan Cope, PhD, has joined Terminix as manager of technical services.

Cope, an entomologist with more than 23 years of military experience in 18 countries, most recently served as director of the Armed Forces Pest Management Board in Washington, D.C. where he was responsible for affecting policy for all aspects of pest management and mosquito control in the U.S. Department of Defense.

In his role at Terminix, he will serve as a valuable in-house entomology resource and a media spokesperson.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Cope to the Terminix family,” said Fred Strickland, vice president of service and administration at Terminix. “His international military experience and entomological expertise will be huge assets for us as we continue to promote our tenets of pest education and research.”

While with the Armed Forces Pest Management Board, Dr. Cope served as director for the mid-Atlantic region of the American Mosquito Control Association (AMCA).

Cope earned his bachelor’s degree in biology at Swarthmore College and master’s degree in entomology at the University of Delaware. His PhD in Public Health was earned at the University of California, Los Angeles.
