The new position will focus specifically on developing new customers for Terminix. While approximately 12 million American households use some level of pest control service, more than 62 million households either administer their own pest control or do nothing.
“Tapping into the non-user market has been something that our industry has been focused on for several years,” said Katrina Helmkamp, Terminix President. “As the leader in the pest control industry, it’s time for us to devote the resources and talent needed to better understand non-user behaviors and ultimately change their purchasing habits.”
Good has been with Terminix for 10 years as the company’s marketing leader and has served as the Chief Marketing Officer since 2003. During his tenure, Good has led the Terminix brand to new levels of success, seeing the company rise to the top position within the industry as well as becoming the first pest control company to surpass the $1 billion mark in revenues.
“Steve’s experience and abundant knowledge make him a great fit for this ground-breaking position,” Helmkamp said. “He is an invaluable member of the Terminix team, and his expertise and insight are recognized throughout the industry. It’s very obvious that there is no one more qualified to lead this new initiative.”
Good will be replaced by Brad Cumings as the Terminix Chief Marketing Officer. Cumings has been with ServiceMaster since 2002 and has served as Chief Marketing Officer of American Residential Services and Rescue Rooter. Cumings has more than 20 years of marketing experience and has worked for other top brands such as AT&T, Kraft and Hormel. Cumings has a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and a master’s degree from the University of Chicago.
