Terminix Works with Martha Stewart to Teach About Termites

Terminix assisted domestic icon Martha Stewart for a segment on termites during a recent "Martha" program.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Domestic icon Martha Stewart devoted a segment to termites during the March 30 show of Martha, and Terminix was called on to help.

The termite segment focused on an Atlanta viewer’s concerns about the possibility of termites in her new home. In response, Martha provided her with termite prevention and protection tips from the experts at Terminix.  The viewer was also supplied with the Terminix Termite Baiting Program to protect her home from the threat of termites.  Additionally, viewers were directed to marthastewart.com and a Terminix link for more information.

“Martha Stewart is synonymous with all things related to the home.  Whether it’s décor, gardening or in this case termites, she is an authority on preserving and enjoying our domestic spaces,” said Steve Good, Terminix vice president and chief marketing officer.  “She has been shaping the lifestyles and homes of Americans for more than 20 years, and partnering with her to share our knowledge of home protection was a perfect fit.”

In addition to providing tips for Stewart, Terminix gave audience members gift bags which included free take-home pest detectors among other things.

Martha is a nationally syndicated lifestyle program which airs Monday through Friday on NBC.  The program reaches more than 1.7 million Americans. For more information on Terminix visit www.terminix.com.
