CHICAGO – Protect-A-Bed has introduced the Ranger, a reusable, portable treatment bag, designed to rid luggage of bed bugs. The Ranger eliminates bed bugs by surrounding luggage with penetrating heat on all sides to destroy all stages of bed bugs and eggs.
Using the similar heat technology as ThermalStrike luggage, the Ranger is reusable and collapsible for easy storage. The durable unit is designed to treat carry-on and mid-sized suitcases ranging from 22” to 27”. It features an integrated timer that immediately turns off the unit after the cycle is complete.
Ranger is the latest ThermalStrike product designed to help consumers, travelers, and pest control operators destroy bed bugs and eggs before they infiltrate a home.
“The National Pest Management Association recommends exposure to temperatures over 118 degrees Fahrenheit for bed bug management,” Brian Hirsch, director of sales, Industrial Division/ThermalStrike said. “The Ranger is designed to exceed these temperatures to kill all stages of bed bugs and eggs, while maintaining temperatures that are safe for most items.”
