Tiny Insects Can Survive on Plant Sap

Researchers in England have found that insects can survive on plant sap, even through it lacks nutrients.

YORK, England- Researchers at the University of York, England have discovered where pea aphids and other insects get essential amino acids. Pea aphids were given only plant sap to ingest and ingested nearly all but one crucial amino acid needed for survival.
