Transport GHP and Transport TI Approved for Indoor, Non-Food Use

FMC has received registration from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approving both Transport GHP insecticide and Transport termiticide insecticide (TI) for indoor, non-food use.

PHILADELPHIA FMC Professional Solutions announced it has received registration from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approving both Transport GHP insecticide and Transport termiticide insecticide (TI) for indoor, non-food use.

Transport GHP is formulated for the treatment of general pests such as ants, cockroaches, springtails, earwigs and more than 30 other perimeter pests.

The new indoor use label will allow Transport GHP to be applied as a spot, crack & crevice, pinstream, coarse or low pressure spray applications, making it ideal for general pests such as ants, centipedes, cockroaches, spiders, roaches, fleas, ticks, flies and silverfish. For Transport TI, the indoor use label permits spot treatments in indoor spaces like walls, masonry voids, basements, crawl spaces and under slabs and behind chimney bases.

“This registration allows PCOs to use one product, Transport, to control general pests inside or outside when servicing their customers without having to change spray tanks,” said Karen Westcott, marketing manager, FMC Professional Solutions.

With an optimized transfer effect, Transport GHP works fast to achieve complete colony knockdown, said the company. In fact, a recent study concluded that if 10 percent of ants treated with Transport GHP stayed within the colony, then the rest of the colony would die within 24 hours, said the company. What’s more, the dual-action formula of Transport GHP helps ensure a long-lasting residual, controlling insects for 90 days or more, said the company.

Available in 0.3-ounce water soluble bags, Transport GHP is designed to minimize measuring and pouring errors. This form of dose packaging also works to reduce technician exposure to chemicals, said the company.

In tests, Transport TI has cleared structures of termites within 30 days, said the company. The dual-action technology provides the structure with perimeter protection from the three main genera of subterranean termites, including Reticulitermes, Heterotermes and Coptotermes.

Transport TI is a wettable powder formulation packaged in 7.5 oz water-soluble packets.

The FMC Professional Solutions portfolio also includes the Talstar Professional and Talstar PL line of liquid and granular insecticides, Dragnet  SFR for indoor flea control, Cynoff insecticide and BaseLine  Pretreat insecticide.
