TUCSON, Ariz.  – Truly Nolen Pest Control recently announced the promotion of Oscar Avila to manager of the company’s Naples, Fla., service office at 3839 Domestic Ave.

Avila joined Truly Nolen as a manager-in-training in 2022 and was most recently manager of the company’s Cape Coral service office in Lee County. Prior to joining the company, he worked for another pest control company for three years as a branch manager. Avila double majored and graduated with a degree in Finance and Business Management from the University of Tennessee.

“What excites me about my current role is being entrusted with one of our company’s signature locations, especially since this is the one in the same city as where the late Mr. Nolen resided,” Avila said. “It is an honor to be part of the Naples team, and I look forward to helping continue its legacy. My favorite thing about working for Truly Nolen is our culture. I love how invested our company is in developing team members (including myself), which mirrors my personal belief that people are the biggest asset to any company.”

Some of Avila’s new responsibilities will include helping the service office gain visibility within the local Naples community as well as instilling the company’s core values throughout his team, the company said.

“Oscar’s passion for success, warm personality, and desire to make every day a great one made him an easy choice for his new position,” said Dave Scott, senior district manager, Southwest Florida. “I look forward to Oscar’s continued growth and I am proud he is a member of our team.”

Truly Nolen Pest Control also announced the promotion of Eric Stark to senior operations manager of the company’s Tempe and Sun City, Ariz., service offices in the metropolitan Phoenix area. He will be based at the company’s Tempe service office at 1005 North Stadem Dr.

Stark joined Truly Nolen in September 2021 as a manager-in-training and has held multiple positions with the company including most recently as manager of the Tempe service office. Prior to joining Truly Nolen, he worked in the fitness industry for three years and managed several gyms. Stark attended Ottawa University in Kansas where he played college basketball and volleyball.

“I am most excited about seeing what both teams are capable of running on full cylinders while learning more about both areas and what I can do to best support my teams and our customers,” Stark said. “My favorite thing about working for Truly Nolen is the culture and unity that everyone embraces others with while trying to help wherever they can.”

Some of Stark’s new responsibilities will include helping the service office continue to maintain visibility with the local Tempe community as well as gaining visibility with the local Sun City community while instilling the company’s core values throughout his teams, the company said.

“In less than five years, Eric has quickly shown his aptitude for successfully managing service offices, developing sales inspectors, and helping develop successful teams,” said Jason McFarland, area manager, Phoenix, Prescott and Flagstaff. “His track record made him an easy choice for this unique position overseeing two service offices, and I look forward to watching his continued growth and success in Phoenix.”
