TUCSON, Ariz. — Truly Nolen Pest Control announced the promotion of Chris Parps and Michallea Small to management positions.
Parps was promoted to sales manager for the company’s California and Nevada service offices. He will be based out of the company’s Corona ,Calif., service office at 140 N. Maple Street, Unit 106-A.
Parps joined Truly Nolen in March 2025 as a manager-in-training. Truly Nolen said prior to joining the company, he spent six years with another company in the pest control industry. In addition, he is a veteran who previously spent eight years in the Navy under the combat search and rescue team stationed in NAS North Island in San Diego, the company said.
“I am most excited about helping to teach and elevate our sales team because I love sales and the challenges each day brings as we head towards our goals,” Parps said. “My favorite thing about working for Truly Nolen is our culture and the fact that everyone is willing to help one another be successful. It is refreshing to know you have help just a call or text away.”
Truly Nolen said in his new role, Parps will oversee sales processes throughout California and Nevada along with helping to develop a high-performing sales team.

Small was promoted to operations manager of the company’s Brandon, Fla., service office at 1626 E. State Road 60, Suite #102.
Small joined Truly Nolen in 2020 as a termite technician in Phoenix and became a termite supervisor before entering the company’s manager-in-training program. The company said prior to joining Truly Nolen, Small worked in retail management at companies such as Famous Footwear and Ross, and she also spent 12 years in the Supermarket Industry. She earned her associate’s degree in business with a minor in illustration at Fullerton College in California.
“The most exciting thing for me becoming Brandon manager was both the opportunity to relocate across the country from Arizona to Florida to begin a new life and to develop a team around me that will help us achieve all of our goals,” Small said. “My favorite thing about working for Truly Nolen is that our company embraces differences and recognizes the strength that comes from those differences.”
The company said some of Small’s new responsibilities include helping the service office continue to maintain visibility with the local Brandon community as well as instilling the company’s core values throughout her team.
