Truly Nolen Pest Control
TUCSON, Ariz. – Truly Nolen Pest Control recently announced the promotions of Nelson Gonzalez to senior operations manager, Tampa Bay, Fla., and Jason McFarland to area manager, Phoenix, Prescott and Flagstaff, Ariz.
Gonzalez joined Truly Nolen in 2001 as a termite technician and has held multiple positions within the company during his 25-year pest control career. Prior to joining the company, he spent five years working for a business specializing in circuit boards. He holds an associate of arts degree and is presently attending classes to earn his business degree from the University of South Florida. Gonzalez's service area includes offices in Tampa, Brandon and Largo, Fla. He will also remain manager of and based at the company’s Tampa service office at 4842 N. Florida Avenue.
“The thing I am most excited about in my new role is growing our Tampa Bay area and continuing to make sure we provide the best possible service to our customers,” said Gonzalez. “My favorite thing about working for Truly Nolen is that every day is a different day, and we are always ready to meet whatever challenges we face.”
McFarland joined Truly Nolen in August 2015 as a renewal inspector and has held multiple positions within the company over the last decade. He was most recently business manager for the company’s Fort Myers, Lehigh Acres, Bonita Springs and Collier County, Fla., service offices. He has over 25 years of experience in the pest control industry. He will be based at the company’s Chandler, Ariz., service office at 150 W. Elliot Rd., Suite #9.
“What I am most excited about in my new role is being able to work with our Phoenix-area teams to create an atmosphere that is conducive to the growth and development of both the business and each of our partners there,” said McFarland. “My favorite thing about Truly Nolen is the feeling of family that permeates the culture of the company.”
Some of Gonzalez’s new responsibilities include overseeing service office-level operations and area-wide management, which will allow his area to align day-to-day execution with the company’s strategic goals. In addition, he will remain the main spokesperson for the company’s WTSP CBS 10 Great Day Live Tampa Bay monthly appearances. Some of McFarland’s new responsibilities will include district authority overseeing his service office as well as the company’s service offices in Tempe, Sun City, North Valley, Prescott and Flagstaff, Ariz.
“Nelson’s outstanding ability to develop culture throughout multiple service offices, deep industry expertise and knowledge of the Tampa Bay market made him an easy choice for this new position,” said Lee Blair, Florida regional manager, Truly Nolen. “I look forward to seeing how Nelson grows this market, and I am glad he is a member of our team.”
“Jason’s experience in all phases of our company along with his strong business sense, attention to detail and ability to connect with team members made him the perfect choice for this new role,” said Matt Wild, chief financial officer, Truly Nolen. “I am glad he was willing to relocate for this exciting new opportunity, and we look forward to his continued success with the company.”
