TUCSON, Ariz. - Truly Nolen Pest Control recently announced the promotions of John McCown and Richard Klinge.
McCown has been promoted to manager of the company’s Tempe (Ariz.) service office at 1005 N. Stadem. McCown joined Truly Nolen in November 2022. Prior to joining the company, he spent 33 years in the pest control industry, with 32 of them working with Ecolab while holding several positions in the western United States. He also served in the United States Air Force prior to his pest control career.
Some of McCown’s new responsibilities will include helping the service office gain more visibility with the local Tempe community as well as instilling the company’s core values throughout his team.
“I am focusing on helping our associates enjoy their careers while improving service delivery across the board,” said McCown. “My favorite thing about working for Truly Nolen is our people as well as our tremendous customers.”
“John developed a wealth of skills and knowledge over the last three decades, and has an outstanding attitude, energy, and commitment to building a successful team,” said James Adams, area manager, Phoenix. “I am glad he is now a part of our company and I look forward to his continued success.”
Klinge has been promoted to business manager for Broward/Palm Beach Counties and the Treasure Coast. When not in the field, he will be based at the company’s Pompano Beach (Fla.) service office at 876 NW 12 Avenue.
Klinge joined the company in 2016 and has been a service office manager in multiple South Florida locations. Prior to joining Truly Nolen, he spent 17 years in retail management and 12 years in residential home security sales. He attended the University of Texas at Arlington before pursuing his career in retail.
“I am most excited about bringing this new position to life because I love the involvement this job has with multiple service offices. I also enjoy helping team achieve their goals,” said Klinge. “My favorite thing about working for Truly Nolen is being part of a family-owned company. We are a larger company, but yet our culture allows everyone to be their own person.”
“Richard’s leadership experience, sales management skills, and attention-to-detail made him the perfect candidate for this position,” said John D’Abruzzo, area manager, Broward/Palm Beach Counties and Treasure Coast. “As his new position focuses Functionality and Overall Core Processes from Broward to Indian River Counties and our surrounding communities, I have no doubt he will flourish in his new role and I look forward to his continued success.”
