TUCSON, Ariz. — Truly Nolen of America recently announced three promotions: Josh Petro to branch manager in Lehigh Acres, Fla.; Alan Hamel to branch manager in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and Rafael “Ralph” Masferrer to district manager in Southeast Florida.
Petro joined Truly Nolen in August 2012 as a technician in Fort Myers, where he was later promoted to service supervisor and then to assistant manager. In his new role as branch manager, Petro will manage daily operations and continue to grow brand awareness throughout the Lehigh Acres area.
“With 175 miles of canals and 16 lakes, Lehigh Acres attracts a large variety of pests and Josh’s knowledge of pest control combined with his consistent great performance and contribution to the core values of his branch, resulted in his selection for the Truly Development Program (TDP),” said Ken Smith, district manager. “By increasing the branch’s success and mentoring others around him, this has allowed Josh to achieve success and lead him into the Branch Manager role he now has.”
Prior to joining Truly Nolen, Hamel worked in a managerial capacity for more than 20 years. Hamel joined the Truly Nolen team in November of 2014 and quickly excelled through all of his training, the firm said.
“With construction-starts rising in Fort Lauderdale, there will be additional residential needs for pest control and we have no doubt in our minds that Alan will help continue to move this company in a positive and successful forward direction,” said Mervin Robinson, district manager. “I look forward to watching him strengthen our presence in Fort Lauderdale and provide the thorough, reliable and convenient services that our customers have grown to expect from Truly Nolen.”
Masferrer joined the Truly Nolen team in 2010, where his potential as a leader was quickly recognized and he was moved into the company’s MIT (Manager in Training) program, the firm said. After completing the program, he went on to manage both the South Miami and Central Miami branches.
“Operating in a state that has over 20 percent of the nation’s pest management companies, Ralph’s attention to detail, belief in our core values, along with his development of people have earned him this position,” said Dave Scott, eastern region manager. “He has earned the respect of his fellow managers making him the best choice as the new district manager of the Southeast region.”
