Two More Companies Become bedbugFREE

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. - General Pest Control, Cleveland, Ohio, and SOS Pest Control, Kansas City, Mo., are the most recent companies to be approved for bedbugFREE membership.

GPC represents the first Ohio pest management firm to commit to the guidelines and practices of Bed Bug Central. General Pest Control has serviced the Northeast Ohio area for more than 70 years.

“I realized that in order for us to be successful in treating for bed bugs we needed to connect with and share information with Bed Bug Central,” said John Gedeon, Jr., president of GPC. “In doing this, we now have a standard against which to judge our treatment procedures, policies, and effectiveness.”

For more than 40 years, SOS Pest Control has serviced the greater Kansas City area while adhering to EPA standards and offering an unconditional guarantee for results.

“Our company sought membership with bedbugFREE to accelerate the learning process,” said Darryl Franke, vice president of SOS Pest Control. “We previously had quite a bit of success with bed bugs, but we were able to utilize our bedbugFREE membership as a resource to improve our customer service and office procedures.”

bedbugFREE is a network of “like-minded companies sharing the philosophies of Bed Bug Central”. All companies undergo a rigorous screening process overseen by Rick Cooper and research entomologist, Jeff White. Approved companies are listed as a bedbugFREE on Bed Bug Centrals’ Web site and in turn receive referrals as part of the bedbugFREE network. To date, the approval process and all business leads provided by Bed Bug Central are free of charge.
