Univar Hires New Marketing Manager

AUSTIN, Texas – Univar USA announces that Andrew Assir has joined Univar’s Professional Products & Services business unit as a marketing manager.

Assir comes to Univar with over 10 years of professional marketing experience. He earned his MBA from Texas Christian University and received his undergraduate degree from Richmond University. Prior to joining Univar, Assir spent the last five years post-MBA as Product Manager at Sabre, the world’s first Global Distribution System and North American market leader in distribution of travel content. During his time there he championed B2B product marketing to both suppliers and customers.

Assir will be moving to Austin at the end of October and is joined by his wife Courtney, and two-year old son Rawley.

According to Karl J. Kisner, Univar’s director or marketing, “With Andrew’s strong marketing background, he will become a positive contributor to the Univar Marketing team and will help us continue to lead the market in the development and execution of innovative and unique marketing programs to benefit and assist our customers.”

Assir started with Univar on October 15.
