CONCORD, N.H. — George E. Williams, Jr., technical sales specialist for Univar USA (Woburn, Mass., branch), was honored recently by the New England Pest Management Association (NEPMA) as its "Vendor of the Year" during a meeting held in Waltham, Mass.
The award, bestowed at the discretion of the NEPMA board of directors, is designed to recognize and honor outstanding service by a supplier representative to both the mission of NEPMA and the pest management industry.
While his primary responsibility is sales and technical support through pest management distribution, Williams has been very active in, and supportive of, educational programs and expositions produced by NEPMA. He meets regularly with pest management professionals throughout New England offering his expertise by conducting in-house training, and in-the-field consultations and inspections.
Williams also serves as chairman of the NEPMA vendor relations committee responsible for maintaining open lines of communication with current vendors and establishing relationships with prospective member companies. Williams has worked for Univar USA for the past ten years. His region includes all of Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.
He has more than 16 years of experience in the pest management industry, including 13 years in chemical distribution and three years in pest management.
He resides in Cumberland, R.I., with his wife Jackie and their four children.
