AUSTIN, Texas — Univar Professional Products & Services has named Adam Reed as a sales representative for California. Reed will be responsible for the San Diego and Imperial Valley regions and will replace Art Guzman who will retire after 30 years of service.
Reed comes to Univar with a strong sales background in the healthcare field where he was a senior sales executive with Kaiser Permanente. In 2006, Reed embarked on a trip around the world and settled in China for four years, where he studied Mandarin and worked in international trade and logistics. In June, he returned to the United States and began working for Univar. Reed’s understanding of the industry has grown exponentially by working closely with customers, vendors, and especially Art Guzman, who retires from Univar at the end of the year.
“We are pleased to welcome Adam aboard,” said Nate Tamialis, western regional sales manager at Univar PP&S. “Adam’s unique background as a senior sales executive for a Fortune 500 company, along with his international experience will help Univar PP&S expand our reach in the Western region.”
Reed earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland.
