U.S. Pest Protection Sponsors David Rogers’ Big Bugs Event

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Visitors can explore 10 larger-than-life insect sculptures, fun interactive activities, and more at Cheekwood’s Big Bug event sponsored by U.S. Pest, which runs through the end of August.

The professionals at U.S. Pest Protection have seen their fair share of big bugs in the company’s 30 years of business, but nothing quite as big as this. David Rogers brings pests to a larger-than-life scale in hope to educate the public on preservation and conservation of the planet.

“It is important to us to remain actively involved in our community and we are honored to be a part of such a beautiful event," said U.S. Pest Protection President, Erica Brister. “I see bugs every day, but I’ve never seen anything like this!”

The exhibition includes several different interactive sculptures including a butterfly experience that depicts the transformation of a caterpillar going into the cocoon phase and becoming a butterfly. The Hive, another highlighted sculpture, grants children and adults the chance to experience a bee’s habitat at an enormous scale. Cheekwood’s Big Bug event lasts through August and includes several different events during the summer. Visit www.cheekwood.org.
