Operations Manager Dave Ramsey, a pest professional with extensive experience in the commercial sector, heads up ProGuard, which also includes sales and service personnel who “work to achieve a goal of the best customer service.”
Varment Guard Co-Owner Jim Vaive said his company already has good “brand awareness” in the homeowner market, and the launch of ProGuard is aimed at raising its visibility in the commercial sector. “It was important for us to be able to compete with the larger national companies and have a brand that makes sense to the corporate world also,” Vaive said. “The benefits of this new division are very simple. We have been able to design process and attitudes surrounding the commercial marketplace and not try and make a homeowner process fit all.”
Vaive is optimistic that this new service will grow in popularity and allow Varment Guard to maintain its goal of 25% yearly growth. “The awesome fact is this: Most of our competitors are thinking inside the box with regard to how the commercial market wants service,” he said. “The truth is that our new division does not have a box at all but a circle that helps them not get stuck in the corners.”
