Viking Pest Control, an Anticimex company located in Warren, N.J., has acquired B.J. Riley Pest Control, York, Pa. The transaction was completed on Nov. 20 and announced by Cetane Associates.
B.J. Riley Pest Control was founded in 1993 by Robert “B.J.” Riley, who brought over 43 years of pest control experience to the business. The company grew from a one-man operation into a team of technicians.
Riley said, “I’m really happy with how everything turned out. Cetane Associates, and Bob Williamson in particular, made the whole process smooth and easy. I know the employees and our customers are in good hands with Viking Pest Control, and that gives me peace of mind. Now I’m looking forward to spending more time with my grandchildren, hitting the golf course, and just enjoying life a bit more.”
Viking Pest Control, established in 1980, is an Anticimex company providing pest management services across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. James McIntyre, president of Viking Pest Control, said, “We’re thrilled to welcome BJ Riley Pest Control to the Viking family. Their customers are in excellent hands, and we look forward to continuing the same dependable, top-quality service they’ve always received.”
Bob Williamson, Pest & Lawn Director at Cetane Associates, said, “B.J. built an outstanding business over the years, and it’s been a real pleasure working with him. We wish him nothing but the best as he embarks on the next part of his life.”
Cetane served as the sole arranger to B.J. Riley Pest Control. Cetane advised on the sale, including an initial valuation opinion, marketing the business through a confidential process, assisting in negotiating the final deal terms, and coordinating the due diligence process. Team members Bob Williamson, Duncan McMurchie, Dalton Brooks and Nick Stein managed the transaction.
