Boss serviced both commercial and residential customers throughout New Jersey. The merger helps strengthen Viking's market share throughout New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
Charles Sobek, founder of BOSS Termite and Pest Control, will stay on board with Viking in a consulting roll for the Northern New Jersey branches.
The acquisition is Viking's fourth so far in 2007. "With the constant changes in our industry Viking continues to grow our customer base both organically and by way of merger and acquisition,” Bradbury said. “Swarm seasons do not seem to be what they once were and that is difficult for some smaller businesses. We have been able to come up with merger solutions that have been lucrative to companies looking to sell. The transitions of new customers and employees have been very smooth. Viking will continue to make more acquisitions in the near future."
