VPMA Announces Six New Master Technicians

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Pest Management Association (VPMA) announced the addition of six new Master Technicians following an intensive two-day training focused on rodents and pest flies. These professionals have demonstrated exceptional expertise and commitment to advancing their knowledge in pest management, said VPMA. 

The newest VPMA Master Technicians include:

• Sean Carter, Arthena Getrige, David Keffer, Ernesto Magoncia and Debbie Perisastry, ACE – Accel Pest & Termite Control LLC
• Gary Hollers – Getem Services

The VPMA Master Technician program is designed to provide in-depth, hands-on training that equips pest management professionals with specialized knowledge in key pest categories. The recent sessions, held over two days, covered the biology, behavior and advanced treatment strategies for rodents and pest flies, ensuring that participants are prepared to tackle these challenging pests with precision and effectiveness, said VPMA. 

To earn the Master Technician designation, professionals must complete training and demonstrate mastery in at least four of the eight specialized specimen groups offered by VPMA. This rigorous standard ensures that Master Technicians possess advanced expertise in multiple areas of pest control, enhancing their ability to protect public health and safety, said VPMA. 

“These individuals have gone above and beyond to enhance their technical skills, which ultimately benefits the communities they serve,” said Andrea Coron, executive director at VPMA. “Their dedication to continued education and industry best practices sets a high standard for pest management professionals across Virginia.”
