KERNERSVILLE, N.C.  — Wayne Frost’s journey to pest control company ownership has spanned 30 years and included stops at several companies throughout the U.S., but he believes he’s ready for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

On June 11, 2008, Frost, age 53, opened Wayne’s World Termite and Pest Control, Kernersville, N.C. “At 53, it is a very challenging undertaking in my view, but I know I can provide the knowledge base, expertise and services second to none with professionalism, honesty and integrity that I hold dear,” he said.

Frost’s dreams of ownership became a reality earlier this year when his previous employer agreed to sell him 150 pest control accounts (50 per month for three months).

Frost’s pest control career actually began on the West Coast, beginning with a stint at Home Savings Termite, Los Angeles, Ca. (1978- 1984), then Western Exterminator Co.  (1984- 1990), Los Angeles, and finally Waste Management (1990- 1993), Colorado Springs, Colo. These positions gave Frost both technical and sales/management experience, which he believes have served him well.

Wayne’s World Termite and Pest Control offers general pest control and termite services throughout Piedmont triad and surrounding areas. “We provide excellent customer service, but we do it with honesty, integrity and loyalty both to the customer and the pest control industry as a whole.,” Frost said. “My knowledge base and experience enables me to handle any situation that may arise in order to totally take care of our customer’s most valuable asset, their home.”

Frost added that at this time he only employs one other service professional, but he plans to expand to multiple branches in multiple surrounding areas within 10 to 15 years.

Frost and wife Robin have been married for 17 years, and the couple’s son Kyle served in the U.S. Army with the 101st Air Assault unit and was stationed in Iraq at the beginning of the war. Kyle has given the couple a granddaughter named Kendall. Frost also has a daughter in California, Shannon, who has given the couple three grandchildren.
