SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Univar USA has named Chris Wescott to the position of Director – PP&S International and Export Business. In this newly created position, Wescott will direct and manage the growth and expansion of Univar’s business outside the United States.
Over the course of the last several years, Univar has pursued more opportunities in the export and international segments of its Professional Products and Services business. “Chris has played an important role in developing and driving opportunities with our current export business,” said John Bolanos – vice president PP&S. “His strong skill sets in team building, execution of strategy, and building sustainable alliances with suppliers will be an important asset as he takes this business to the next level.”
Wescott joined Univar (then VW&R) in 1982 and held numerous positions in Sales Management, Regional Marketing Management, Branch and Area Management within the Industrial Chemicals Business. In 1999, Wescott moved over to the PP&S business and has been an integral part of the Univar management team as Eastern Region Manager and most recently as District Manager for the Consolidated Southeast District.
Reporting to Wescott will be the Export team out of Univar’s Miami facility, Benjamin Gomez, Director General of Mexico, and Ted Worster, Marketing Manager for International.
Wescott will continue to manage Univar’s Southeast District for PP&S until his successor is named. He will report to John Bolanos – Vice President PP&S.
