Western Pest Services Donates Disinfectant Treatment for Local Boy Scout Fundraiser

Western PurClean service was donated to Sparta United Methodist Church to allow annual fundraiser to continue in 2020.

PARSIPPANY, N.J. – When health concerns surrounding COVID-19 threatened to cancel Sparta Boy Scout Troop 150’s annual Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser, Western Pest Services donated two complimentary Western PurClean disinfectant treatments to the troop’s venue and charter organization, The Sparta United Methodist Church, so that the event could continue safely. Going off without a hitch, Troop 150 collected a record $4,202, which was a 20% increase from last year’s fundraiser.

Western Pest Services added its Western PurClean disinfection service, a treatment to help homes and businesses quickly kill a large spectrum of pathogens and help stop the spread of viruses, to its service offerings earlier this year amidst the COVID-19 crisis. In addition to misting into difficult-to-reach areas, the treatment focuses on wiping down high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, countertops, and seating areas since they are the most common places where viruses can linger and rapidly spread from person to person.

“Sparta Troop 150’s Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser supports the Adopt-a-Family program in our area, meaning that several families were at risk of not receiving support if this event didn’t happen,” said Jason Pennington, Senior Account Executive at Western Pest Services. “Treating the commercial kitchen this troop used both before and after with a Western PurClean service helped to ensure a safe and sanitary fundraiser. We feel honored to have been trusted by the Sparta United Methodist Church and Sparta Troop 150.”

The Western PurClean disinfectant treatment, when applied properly by Western technicians, kills 99.99 percent of almost 50 pathogenic bacteria, fungi, and viruses on hard, non-porous surfaces. The EPA has deemed the product used in the Western PurClean disinfectant treatment to have the lowest level toxicity rating and contains no ozone-harming compounds, making it low risk for people and pets as well as the environment. It is rated “no rinse required on food contact surfaces” by NSF International so it can be used on food preparation surfaces without the need to wash or rinse the area with water after.

Western Pest Services is dedicated to keeping your business and your home disinfected. We are committed to providing a tough disinfectant that meets the EPA’s criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2, the causal agent of Covid-19.
