VANCOUVER, British Columbia – Westside Pest Control donated all revenue generated on Earth Day to Eco-Justice. All of Westside's technicians worked overtime on April 21 and 22 to help the company achieve the donation goal of $25,000.
Eco-Justice is Canada's premiere environmental law charity committed to using the law to protect and restore Canada's environment.
Westside Pest Control is long-time partners of Eco-justice through the One Percent for the Planet program. Being a member of this program, the company gets a chance to contribute and support many local and global environmental initiatives by donating one percent of sales each year.
To date, Westside has donated over $125,000 through the program.
"We're delighted to be able to run a campaign like this,'' said Westside Pest Control Director Mike Londry. "And we're excited to be part of a global movement of businesses and individuals that share our commitment to protecting the planet."
John Keller, philanthropy manager at Ecojustice Vancouver stated, "the funding provided by Westside Pest Control will help us continue to fight on your behalf and on behalf of future Canadians towards a cleaner, healthier environment for all."
Westside Pest Control says it included the additional day to provide a better opportunity to raise funds and reach the goal.
