Pam Mattis, ornamental agent for Duval County (Jacksonville), reported via e-mail that a sample of white-footed ants was delivered to their office. The sample was actually "collected ... on Rosewood Court in Orange Park (Clay County)." This is the first record of this species in that county, although it is already reported from neighboring Alachua County. This exotic species, first introduced in S.E. Florida, has been slowly moving north for many years.
