Kit Components
The Allure Covered Beetle Trap Kit is packaged with five sets of the three different types of lures (15 lures).There are 5 covered dome-style traps, one bottle of oil to attract and hold stored product pests, and five absorbent pads for easy extraction of captured insects. The covered trap device is re-usable and replacement lures can be purchased separately. Lures will last up to 8 weeks.

Dual Action of the Cover Design
The top of the Allure Covered Trap is designed to keep debris out of the pitfall trap area while increasing the concentration of pheromone to the ramp area. The cover sits above the ramp, holding and releasing a high concentration of pheromones at surface level where the beetles crawl which increases insect attraction and capture. The cover also locks onto the pitfall ramp and will not come off if bumped. This feature keeps the trap operational for year round service.

Directions for Use
Monitoring. For monitoring stored product pest activity, place Allure Covered Beetle Traps in areas of high food density. For crawling beetles, keep the trap intervals close with a range of 10 feet. For flying beetles, space the traps 20 to 30 feet apart. When setting up a new monitoring system, place traps at smaller intervals until proper identification of captured insect pests can be made.

Pinpointing the Source of Infestation. To find the source of an infestation, place Allure Covered Beetle Traps at intervals of 10 feet. For traps with insect activity, add new traps within 5 feet of those traps. Inspect all foodstuffs in areas with activity. It is important to note that these stored product pests need very little material to start an infestation and a facility could have multiple areas with high insect pressure.
