What is Whitmire Micro-Gen’s new exclusive product Prescription Treatment brand ULD SPy-300?
ULD SPy-300 is an oil-based synthetic pyrethroid ((RS)-2-Methyl-4-oxo-3-(2-propynyl) cyclopent-2-enyl-(1RS)-cis, trans-chrysanthemate) that simulates the performance of natural pyrethrum:
   · Quick kill of stored product pests and flying insects
   · Food handling label for ULV applications
   · Low residual activity

ULD SPy-300 differs from natural pyrethrum in two ways:
   · Synthetic (continuous supply)
   · No repellency

What does the number 300 in ULD SPy-300 represent?
Performance. ULD SPy-300 performance mimics that of ULD BP-300. The number 300 in ULD SPy-300 represents the performance of ULD BP-300, a 3% natural pyrethrum. ULD SPy-300 provides quick knockdown of flying insects and stored product pests at the same application rate as ULD BP-300.

Usage. ULD SPy-300 is an excellent alternative to ULD BP-300 with the same use directions. For use in food handling establishments, ULD SPy-300 has the same facility sites and insect targets as ULD BP-300.

Dilution rates. The ULD SPy-300 can be diluted to equal the performance of a ULD BP-100 and ULD BP-50 in the same ratio as ULD BP-300.

Now there is a Substitute. There is no doubt that ULD SPy-300 is the synthetic equivalent to ULD BP-300.

Why switch from a natural pyrethrum to ULD SPy-300?
To lengthen the life of an insecticide and lessen the chance for insects to become resistant, a rotation program using different chemical class insecticides should be established.

For years, the only alternative to the natural pyrethrum product a PMP used was to try another natural pyrethrum with different synergists. Now the synthetic ULD SPy-300 is the natural choice as the product to rotate with pyrethrum.

ULD SPy-300 will control pyrethrum resistant insects and ULD BP-300 will control pyrethroid resistant insects.

Shortages of chrysanthemums used to make pyrethrum directly affect the supply and price of pyrethrum insecticide products. Since ULD SPy-300 is synthetic, Whitmire Micro-Gen supply cannot be affected by the weather.
