SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — Central Life Sciences has selected Mel Whitson as the recipient of its "Salesman of the Year" award for the Zoëcon Professional Products division.
Whitson is the Florida Region Manager and is responsible for Central Life Sciences' vector and professional pest management markets. In earning his third “Salesman of the Year” award, he was cited for a significant sales increase in his region, above the company average and well above the market increase.
“In his 11 years with the company, Mel has earned an excellent reputation for sales achievement and strong customer relationships, that are clearly reflected in his significantly increased regional sales in 2013,” said Larry Smith, Director of Sales for Central Life Sciences. “He has always been one of our most consistent salespeople and an influential leader within his division, which is why we are pleased to present him with the 2013 ‘Salesperson of the Year’ award.”
Whitson earned a bachelor’s degree in entomology and nematology from the University of Florida, and he is currently an active member of various pest and mosquito control associations including FMCA, FPMA, AMCA and NPMA. Whitson currently resides in Palm Bay, Fla.
