The Washington State Pest Management Association will host the Summer Meeting, Aug. 24-26, as a business development meeting that brings our owners/managers together for three days of networking, development and fun.
This year they will have a raise the paddle event for the Laurel Hansen Endowment, PWIPM free headshots, PestVets Ice Bath Challenge, department of agriculture updates, Washington State University engagement, hiring best practices round table and discussion.
Activities will be held to help bring our members and vendors together, including golf, wine tasting, zip lining, aerial ropes course, axe throwing and a post conference white water rafting trip.
The PestCoast Workshop (PCW), held Sept. 25-27, is the third annual rodent workshop, this year teaming up with King County Public Health and the City of Seattle.
Dr. Bobby Corrigan, Kurtis Brown, Dan Baldwin and a few King County Public Health speakers will be at the workshop. Attendees will get two days of classroom learning before they are turned loose in small groups around the Seattle City Center to see real life rodent challenges.
At the end of the field visits, attendees will present an IPM program that could be used.
