CONTRAC is a single-feeding anticoagulant bait, in either pellet or meal form, with superior acceptance by rodents. CONTRAC contains the active ingredient Bromadiolone, which controls Warfarin-resistant rats. Though rodents may consume a lethal dose in one feeding, bait shyness is not a problem because mortality occurs a few days after consumption. Also CONTRAC is less toxic to non-target animals in both primary and secondary poisoning situations than other single-feeding baits. An antidote, Vitamin K1, is readily available and there is a time factor for treatment.
