Pure Pest Receives BBB TORCH Award

The St. Louis firm was recognized by BBB serving eastern and southwest Missouri and southern Illinois. The awards honor businesses and charities exemplifying high ethics in their treatment of customers, employees and suppliers.

ST.. LOUIS — Pure Pest is a 2022 Better Business Bureau (BBB) TORCH Award winner for BBB Serving Eastern and Southwest Missouri and Southern Illinois.

The TORCH Awards honor businesses and charities exemplifying high ethics in their treatment of customers, employees and suppliers. Eleven businesses and two charities were recognized in 2022.

“BBB TORCH Awards recognize companies and charities that are committed to exceptional standards and high ethics,” said Michelle Corey, BBB St. Louis President and CEO. “These organizations have truly joined BBB’s mission of advancing marketplace trust in an exemplary way, and they are role models for other businesses and nonprofits in the community.”

Pure Pest has been offering pest control and disinfecting services in the St. Louis area since 1954, with significant growth in the last few years. 

“Our team at Pure Pest is committed to going the extra mile for our neighbors, no matter what the service, circumstance, or situation,” says marketing manager Stephanie Brown. “Winning a BBB TORCH Award confirms we are doing right by our customers and living out one of our values, which is integrity.”

Pure Pest and other TORCH Award winners — along with two Student of Ethics award winners — were recognized at the BBB TORCH Awards reception and luncheon on Thursday, Oct. 20, at the Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis. Author Stephen M.R. Covey was the keynote speaker; Kelly Jackson, KSDK evening news co-anchor, emceed the event.

Dave Mungenast Family of Dealerships was the underwriting sponsor for the 2022 BBB St. Louis TORCH Awards. Caleres and Nestlé Purina were the event's Student of Ethics sponsors. Contributing sponsors were AccuCare Home Health Care of St Louis, Ameren and Lewis Rice.
