Bell Labs Introduces New Weighted Protecta Evo Express Bait Station

MADISON, WIS. – Bell Laboratories introduces Protecta Evo Express, a weighted, ready-to-go bait station that comes fitted with a concrete block for easy servicing and secured placement.

Bell’s next generation of tamper-resistant bait stations, Protecta Evo Express was unveiled at PestWorld 2011 in New Orleans in mid-October, giving PMPs a chance to view the station’s many time-saving features, particularly the concrete block in the base of the station that weights it down and its single-locking mechanism.

“With EVO Express, technicians don’t have to mess with gluing the bait station to a patio block or securing it to the ground.  It’s ready to go,”  notes Bell’s product manager, Suzy Pursell.

Yet,  she points out, holes in the base of the station let PMPs anchor it to the ground with a duckbill, if they desire.  Or, the two holes on the side of the station will accommodate a chain or other device for securing it to a fence or pole.
Made of 100 percent recycled plastic, Protecta Evo Express is sturdy and built to withstand the rigors of baiting outdoors or in. Its heavy-duty removable tray is pre-formed to hold a variety of baiting options: two T-Tex Rat Traps, two Mini-Rex Mouse Traps or a combination of traps and bait. The station is equipped with four baiting rods that hold eight 1-oz. blox. The tray also lifts out for easy servicing and, once inserted, the bait rods won’t fall out when cleaning the tray.

While the station’s ramped entry is enticing to rodents, it is designed to keep children and non-target wildlife out.
A bar code installed inside the lid is compatible with pest management software to track servicing.  A service card can also be placed in the service card slot inside the station or affixed on the outside.

As an added convenience, Protecta Evo Express bait stations easily stack in service vehicles.
