TomTom Launches Fleet Management Smartphone App

TomTom launches Webfleet Mobile, a smartphone app designed to provide managers on the move with essential information about their vehicle fleet to ensure they stay in control and continue to service their customers.

TomTom's fleet management fleet management system is now available on iOS and Android platforms. Webfleet Mobile includes a detailed map which provides a view of the current traffic situation using TomTom HD Traffic. It allows managers to quickly pinpoint the location of their fleet, obtaining information on each vehicle’s destination and estimated time of arrival, as well as trip data such as mileage and timestamps.

“The app gives users the flexibility to monitor their mobile workforce when they are on the road themselves. As a result managers can achieve even greater efficiencies from their fleet management system,” said Thomas Schmidt, managing director TomTom Business Solutions. “By making TomTom HD Traffic and other fleet critical information available fits our goal of making life on the road more productive.”

Users can view text, status or order messages and also send text messages straight to the driver’s TomTom navigation device.  Available across 21 countries in Europe, North America, Australia and South Africa, the app supports seven different languages – Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish – and is available in app stores for TomTom’s 13,000 business customers.
