Marathon Sponsors Event for Local Tech Community

WALL, N.J. — Marathon Data Systems recently sponsored the "Hacking Asbury" event that took place at the CoWerks facility in Asbury Park on June 22. The Hackathon-style mini conference invited all developers, designers, artists, business owners and other interested parties to come with projects to work on and ideas to share. In addition, the event featured speakers from a variety of fields and the opportunity for attendees to meet with mentors. The mini conference, which ended with a summer BBQ, is a community event that welcomes all.

As a provider of web-based software solutions in Monmouth County, Marathon Data Systems was excited to sponsor an event that brought together and supports the local tech community. Marathon also teamed up with CoWerks earlier this year for their Jersey Shore Comeback-A-thon Hackathon which took place at the venue in April. The Hackathon brought developers together to brainstorm applications that could be created to assist in the rebuilding of the Jersey Shore in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
