RANDOLPH, N.J. – Zackary Sieb earned the designation of BCE-Intern by successfully completing the BCE exam and other requirements set forth by the Entomological Society of America (ESA). Sieb specialized in urban and industrial entomology as well as medical and veterinary entomology.
The Board-Certified Entomologist (BCE) program is administered by the ESA to accredit professionals in the entomological field for their current and ongoing commitment to education. The intern part of the designation is for current college students. At the moment, there are less than 500 BCEs nationwide and only 12 in New Jersey.
Sieb is currently a senior at Middlebury College in Vermont and is majoring in neuroscience. He is looking into medical entomology after graduation. Sieb has been exposed to entomology his whole life because his parents own and operate NJ Pest Control based in Randolph, N.J.
